Channel: Weather

Location: Waynesville-The Roubidoux River!

Coming home from work, we knew the river would be up alot more than it had been this morning. We came through town and sure enough, plenty of lookers crowded the bridge and nearby street. We too took part and stopped for pictures! I picked my favorite three to put up here. The water was flowing so fast and there was an rv out in the middle of the flooded campground. We saw some locals putting a boat into the flooded park and we believe they were going to check for campers in the rv. The local fields and all the grassy areas in town are completely washed out and look like lakes. This is the craziest thing. I fear the water will reach the bridge over night and traffic will be re-routed. That's Missouri for you! Snow storm last year...flood this year! If you don't like the weather here...wait a week, it'll change! hahaha! Everyone be safe out there...watch for the water!

I hope there will be no deaths due to this flood. Water scares me to death especially muddy/swift water. I have a son and his family in Waynesville so I am very concerned. He called today, thank goodness, and said they are OK. Praying for you.
